Prepare Table Data with Google Spreadsheets
First you have to prepare table data with place names. For example, I used Population Percentage by Province and Gender data from Statistics Indonesia. Click download button on the top right and open it.
Besides, open Google SpreadSheets and click (+) button on the bottom right.
Copy Excel data to SpreadSheets.
First row is column name in the sample above. Click title of SpreadSheets and name it. Then data is automatically saved.

Next, press Google SpreadSheets to import the data you've made.
Select what you made, click "Select", and so on. Finally you will get the view like below.
Yellow names are place names to be resolved.
Once click "Map of Place" tab or "File > Geocode > Begin Geocoding", place names will be resolved.
Click "Change feature styles..." menu, and "Buckets" tab.
You can classify points by colors.
